Killik Hot Sauce Company is owned and operated by a veteran, and stroke and heart attack survivor, who previously taught middle school science. After his stroke, he made a career change into restaurant management, where his passion for food blended with his passion for science. This experience is what led him to discover the scientific process of fermentation. The owner then developed hot sauces with all-natural ingredients and fermented them to give the sauces a unique and flavorful taste with only a fraction of the sodium other hot sauces have.
To help with the startup of the company, I designed the company logo, product packaging labels and various print materials. I designed the logo and bottle labels with strong type and a simple layout to reflect the fresh ingredients and the owner’s bold personality.
